Grupo José Pinto Comercio Geral,Lda. was founded on January the 16 th 2001, by Mr. José Pinto Ernesto João with his partners Mr. Ernesto João and Mr. José de Pina Ernesto João.

Our company started working in the area of general trade, opening its first store on March the 21 st, 2001, in the city of Lobito, Benguela Province, with four employees.

One year later our company opened its office in Luanda, the capital city, and increased the number of employees to 15. Luanda became the headquarters from which the management expanded operations and reached out to new customers.

In 2004 our company won a 2 million dollar contract to supply groceries to many state Hospitals, including the Central Hospital in Luanda, Josina Manchel and Americo Boa Vida.

From 2004 onwards, our company expanded its operations abroad, opening offices in South Africa, Portugal and recently, in the USA. Our management has developed strategic alliances with well-known brands such as, INGERSOLL RAND, MSA, JALLATTE, contributing considerably to its growth. Currently, our company has 85 employees in its several divisions throughout the country.

In 2011 the combined company sales were worth 20 million dollars and the net revenue from sales and services was 6 million dollars.

Our management is determined to continue reaching out to new partners in order to expand its operations and meet the ever increasing demand of the Angolan growing market.

In this context, our company plans to open a shop in the city of Soyo, Zaire province, by the end of this year, to market and sell safety equipment and compressors in order to take advantage of the increasing demand of the oil industry in that region. The management is, therefore, extremely interested in working with WENAAS because of the high quality of its products.
